So you’d think a wooden spoon would be the best thing for making porridge but you’d be wrong! This is a traditional Scottish spurtle and it really does make a mighty fine and creamy porridge. It has a stylised thistle handle and the flattened stirring end gets into all the corners and around the base of the pan. The perfect present for a porridge lover…. if they don’t have one already!
